The Rivo welcome bonus is the reason a lot of people sign up, me included. A 1000% match sounds almost silly the first time you read it. Put in 20 and you're playing with 220. Put in 100 and you've got 1,100.

I claimed it on my first deposit of €50 and spent the next two weeks clearing the wagering on normal evenings. On this page I walk through how the offer works, the maths behind the 10x wagering, where the 10,000 cap starts to matter, and the free spins and cashback that kept coming after the welcome was done.

  • 1000% Match on the first deposit
  • 10,000 Bonus cap
  • 10x Wagering on deposit plus bonus
  • 20 Minimum qualifying deposit

How I claimed the Rivo welcome bonus

There's no code to remember. The offer is waiting in the cashier the first time you deposit, with a box to tick. I ticked it, picked Neteller, typed in €50 and confirmed.

The bonus appeared in my balance straight away, shown separately from my own cash so I could see both. A small progress bar on my account page tracked the wagering from then on, which I checked far more often than I'd like to admit.

  1. Register and confirm your email
  2. Open the cashier and choose your payment method
  3. Tick the welcome offer box before paying
  4. Deposit at least 20
  5. Check that the bonus shows next to your cash balance

Decide on the bonus before you confirm the deposit. Ticking the box afterwards isn't an option.

Rivo bonus calculator

Type in what you plan to deposit and your usual stake. I use this before every top up to see how much betting the welcome offer asks for.

Bonus you'd get
€ 1,000
Total to wager
€ 11,000
Bets needed at that stake
11,000

The numbers follow the current welcome terms: 1000% match up to 10,000, 10x wagering on deposit plus bonus, minimum deposit 20.

The maths of 1000% and 10x wagering

A 1000% match means the bonus is ten times your deposit. Wagering of 10x on deposit plus bonus means you add the two together, then bet ten times that sum.

My numbers looked like this: €50 deposit, €500 bonus, €550 total, €5,500 to wager. At €1 a spin that's 5,500 spins. Spread over evenings of an hour or two, it took me roughly two weeks without ever feeling like a chore.

The thing I like about this structure is how easy it is to work out in your head. No separate rules for the deposit and the bonus, one figure for everything.

  1. Multiply your deposit by 10 to get the bonus
  2. Lower the bonus to 10,000 if it goes over the cap
  3. Add deposit and bonus together
  4. Multiply that total by 10 for your wagering

What different deposits get you under the welcome offer

These rows follow the current 1000% match up to 10,000 with 10x wagering on deposit plus bonus.

Deposit Bonus Balance to play Total to wager
20 200 220 2,200
50 500 550 5,500
100 1,000 1,100 11,000
500 5,000 5,500 55,000
1,000 10,000 11,000 110,000
2,000 10,000 12,000 120,000

From a 1,000 deposit upwards the bonus stays at 10,000, while the wagering keeps rising with your deposit.

Where the 10,000 cap starts to matter

Because the match is 1000%, a deposit of 1,000 already brings the full 10,000 bonus. That's the sweet spot if you're a bigger player. Total balance 11,000, wagering 110,000.

Above 1,000 the bonus stops growing but your wagering doesn't. A 2,000 deposit still gets 10,000 in bonus, yet you'd have 120,000 to wager. I'd split anything above 1,000 into a bonus deposit and a separate cash deposit later.

If you're thinking about depositing more than 1,000, put 1,000 in with the bonus and keep the rest for a plain cash top up.

Picking a stake that suits the wagering

I tried €2 spins for the first evening and watched my balance swing a bit too wildly for comfort. Dropping back to €1 made the whole thing calmer and let the balance last.

Bigger stakes clear wagering in fewer spins, but they also empty a balance faster. My rule now is a stake where the bonus balance could survive at least a few bad sessions in a row. The calculator above shows how many bets you'll need at any stake you type in.

There's also a maximum bet while the bonus is active, shown in the bonus terms in your account. I kept well below it the whole time.

Deposited €50 with Neteller. Played Gates of Olympus, €1 spins. Bonus after 25 spins, 55x. Balance €150. Then Sugar Rush 1000, €0.50 spins. Bonus after 30 spins, 70x. Balance €210. Withdrew €170 via Neteller. Money arrived in roughly a day.

Which games I used to clear it

Slots count fully towards wagering, so that's where I did nearly all of mine. Gates of Olympus and Sugar Rush 1000 did most of the heavy lifting, with Big Bass Splash when I wanted something gentler.

Live tables count for much less, so I left my blackjack evenings until the bonus was cleared. Once it was, I treated myself to a long Crazy Time session with the winnings, which felt like a fair reward.

  • Slots: full contribution, my main tool for wagering
  • Live roulette, blackjack and baccarat: reduced contribution
  • Game shows: I waited until after the bonus

Free spins, cashback and offers after the welcome

The welcome match is a one off, but the extras kept coming. The bonus crab hands me free spins most weeks, challenges sometimes reward free spins on a featured slot, and there are reload offers on later deposits.

Cashback is the one I value most as a regular. It returns part of my losses on a schedule, and it's taken the sting out of a couple of rough weeks. The rate is listed on my promotions page.

Each of these has its own small print on its card. Some free spin wins come with light wagering, some go straight to cash. I give each card a quick read when it appears.

Mistakes I nearly made

In my first few days I almost requested a withdrawal after a good Gates of Olympus run, with the wagering only half done. That would have cancelled the bonus. The progress bar saved me.

I also nearly played a live table thinking it counted the same as slots. A quick look at the bonus terms put me straight.

  • Depositing under 20 and getting no bonus
  • Withdrawing before the wagering is finished
  • Going over the maximum bet while the bonus is active
  • Assuming live games count the same as slots
  • Forgetting the bonus has a time limit

Keep the wagering progress bar open in a second tab. It's the easiest way to know where you stand.

Questions I get asked

How is the Rivo bonus calculated?

Your deposit times ten, up to 10,000. My €50 deposit brought €500 in bonus.

Does the wagering include my own deposit?

Yes. It's 10x on deposit plus bonus together. For me that was 10 times €550, so €5,500.

How long did it take you to clear the wagering?

About two weeks of normal evenings at €1 a spin. I never felt pushed to play longer than I wanted.

What's the smartest deposit size?

Anything between 20 and 1,000 gets the full 1000%.

Above 1,000 the bonus is capped, so I'd keep extra money for a separate cash deposit.

Can I withdraw before finishing the wagering?

A withdrawal request before the wagering is done cancels the bonus. I waited until my progress bar hit 100%.

Do live casino games count towards wagering?

They count for less than slots, so I cleared my bonus on slots and saved the live tables for afterwards.

Where do the free spins come from?

For me, mostly the bonus crab and challenges, plus the odd reload offer on later deposits.

Can I skip the welcome bonus?

Yes, just leave the box unticked in the cashier. I've done that on later deposits when I only wanted to play live blackjack.
